Saputara

Mount Abu

This hill station is situated at the border of Rajasthan makes for a very refreshing and interesting getaway from everyone. It is situated out from the desert part of the Rajasthan. Mount Abu is the place where the air is cool and the climate is very lovely. While driving through the desert, you will feel the sands give way to verdant mountains, the wonderful Nakki Lake is bordered with lovely trees, cool breeze, and the heavenly environment. The Jain Dilwara Temples is very famous for their intricate exteriors. There are also some temples which are must visit in Mount Abu.  

Wilson Hills
Wilson Hills is very thick and dense forested area. Wilson Hills is situated 367kms from Ahmedabad and 500kms from Jodhpur. Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad



Ahmedabad is the biggest city in the state of Gujarat. This city is situated on the banks of the River Sabarmati. Ahmedabad, the city of Ahmed Shah (Medieval leader of Gujarat) is known for its rich past and its relationship with the Mahatma Gandhi (Great Soul), otherwise called Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Ahmedabad is also known called Amdavad is the biggest city and previous capital of Gujarat, which is a state in India. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Ahmedabad area and the seat of the Gujarat High Court. With a population of more than 6.3 million and a higher population of approx 7.8 million, it is the 6th biggest city and the seventh biggest metropolitan city of India. Ahmedabad is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, 30 km from the state capital Gandhinagar.

Kankaria Lake 





Kankaria Lake was formerly known as Hauz e Qutub. Kankariya Lake is the second largest lake in the Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is situated in the South- Eastern part of the city, in the Mahinagar area of Ahmedabad city. A lakefront is made around it, which has many incredible public attractions such as Zoo, kids city, toy train, food stalls, water park, and entertainment facilities. The lakefront was again reconstructed in 2008. Kankaria Carnival is a seven days festival celebrated here in the last week of the December. Numerous kinds of cultural, social activities are planned during this festival.
Kankaria Lake was made by Sultan Qutubuddin, in the 15th century. The Kankaria Lake was completed in 1451 CE and was known as “Qutb Hauz”. It was also used for bathing by the kings. This Lake had a water purification system but it has been stopped with time. At the one spot of the circular lake, there opens a walkway which later joins a garden known as Nagina Wadi, which means a very beautiful garden in Urdu, that is located in the center of the lake. With an approximate distance of 4.8km and it represents a Royal history of Ahmedabad. It is called 34- sided polygon having steps which leading down to water level. The central garden and the walkway had been renovated and utilities are upgraded. Upon completion of the renovation, the lake was officially inaugurated in a week-long event known as "Kankaria Carnival". The inauguration ceremony for renovated Kankaria lakefront was held on 25 December 2008.


Kankaria Zoo, officially known as Kamla Nehru Zoological Garden was developed by Rueben David in 1951 and it is spread over 21 acres. It was evaluated the best zoo in Asia in 1974. They are 450 mammals, 2,000 birds, 140 reptiles in a 31-acre of the land zoo. It is a treasure of wild creatures like tigers, lions, python, anaconda, snakes, elephant, like the rhesus monkey, spotted deer, white blackbuck, chinkara, elephants, emu, jungle babbler, normal palm civet. Kankaria Zoo has additionally recorded in the rearing of uncommon species in Zoo like pythons, crocodiles, bearcats and wild asses. Reuben David was awarded Padma Shri in 1974 for it. 


Ahmedabad Eye is a tethered set up of balloon ride close to Kankaria Lake. The tethered inflatable balloon spread over more than 3000 square yards, is divided into four parts including a restaurant tethered balloon, heritage show and a presentation showing the making of the Ahmedabad Eye. SKYZ is a balloon themed restaurant situated at the Ahmedabad Eye complex. It is overseen by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Rainforest theme restaurant is also there.
